Week twelve of Operation Graphite – Theme: Psylocke

You don’t need bionic eyes from Spirals Body Shop in the Mojo-verse to see why Psylocke is a popular character. Another example of the Kunoichi Principle, Sexy female ninjas are almost always cool. Add Psionic powers and you’ve got Betsy Braddock.

Week Twelve Contributors:

kalebschad – Psylocke

Micah – Psylocke

shawnbrookwilliams – Psylocke

Shock – Psylocke

sweatywest – Betsy Braddock’s effect on pubescent comic book readers

Thank you to all of you who are, Mutant and Proud, for participating this week.

The theme selected for week thirteen will be Robots.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robot

Robots are a real part of the world around us, but its in Science Fiction that they do way cooler things than just spot weld car frames and sweep the floor. But, science is catching up to the fiction at a frightening speed. In the future, will robots be friendly beeping companions, mindless servants, blood thirsty kill bots, or sexy gynoids in the uncanny valley? After the Singularity, will we have Terminators, or Wall E’s? For this post, we can include Androids, Gynoids, and Automatons to our definition of robots. However, cyborgs, and robitic suits are not allowed. Sorry, no Borg or Iron man, this time.

Please submit a drawing or painting, using traditional or digital media of your robot.

All art work is due on Thursday 5.3.12. Submissions will be published the following Friday 5.4.12.

Week Eleven of Operation Graphite – Theme: Badass U.S. Presidents.

Please submit a drawing or painting, using traditional or digital media that fits the theme, Psylocke

Now you know… and knowing is half the battle.

The theme selected for week Eleven will be Badass U.S. Presidents.

This weeks theme is in honor of the soon to be released Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter feature adaptation.

There were several men to hold the office of president who were legitimate badasses. There are the exaggerations told to bolster support for a candidate. Then there are the absurd parodies or comic book portrayal of U.S. Presidents as action heroes. This week, we can explore any avenue that explores the Badassery of various Presidents of the United States of America. Please submit a drawing or painting, using traditional or digital media that fits the theme, Badass U.S. Presidents.

All art work is due on Thursday 4.19.12. Submissions will be published the following Friday 4.20.12.

Hail to the Chief Mother F#&@er!

This week’s theme will take the Real American Heroes (or serpent inspired terrorist organization) and see how they survive after the Apocalypse.

As Gozer would say, “Choose your Destructor,” so you may pick any flavor of Post Apocalyptical Setting for the “Joes”, or members of Cobra. Please submit a drawing or painting, using traditional or digital media that fits the theme, Post Apocalyptic G.I. Joe.

All art work is due on Thursday 4.12.12. Submissions will be published the following Friday 4.13.12.
