Week ninety eight of Operation Graphite – theme: Bogeyman.
The thing about the Bogeyman, or any shadowy evil that lurks in the dark, you never really know what it looks like. Occasionally you get a fleeting glimpse, but it is less visual and more visceral. You can sense it’s presence, but trying to describe it is like describing a nightmare. Even the act of looking obscures it, much like how you can see more stars in the sky with your peripheral vision, but once you look directly at that star you swore you saw, it’s gone. And as you turn your head towards the sound in the dark, there’s a creature waiting for it’s moment to strike, hiding in the one place you can’t see it, right in front you.
