The theme for week one-sixty-two of Operation Graphite will be: Robert E. Howard.


The creator of Conan the Barbarian and nearly the entire sword and sorcery genre, Robert E. Howard’s is mostly known for his bloody and supernatural adventure stories. A contemporary, and pen pal, of H.P. Lovecraft, Howard contributed to the Cthulhu mythos, and wrote several stories in that universe. Besides the ventures into fantasy and the supernatural, many of Howard’s works were historical fiction, including tales in 16th century Europe, 1920’s Afghanistan, and the American West.

Please submit any drawing or painting, using traditional or digital media, that fits the theme: Robert E. Howard.

All art work is due on Thursday, 4.9.14 Submissions will be published the following Friday, 4.10.15
