The theme selected for week one-fourty-one of Operation Graphite will be: Meleagrididae.

This weeks theme is Meleagrididae, which is really just me being a smart ass, as that is the scientific name for the family of birds that include the Turkey. Not to be confused with the country, but while I think of it, the Turks and Ottomans would make a great future theme. This is, after all, the month of November, and since that new world bird is not only synonymous with Thanksgiving, it is also popular through out the entire holiday season of overeating. Perhaps you might find the turkey a noble and dignified creature, as Benjamin Franklin did, or perhaps you find its grotesque visage of waddle, snood and caruncle to be rather horrific. However you view this bird, that is the theme of the week, and may be prepared anyway you please.

Please submit any drawing or painting, using traditional or digital media, that fits the theme: Meleagrididae.

All art work is due on Thursday, 11.13.14 Submissions will be published the following Friday, 11.14.14
