Week one-o-five of Operation Graphite – theme: The Brothers Grimm.

Shock - Mirror Mirror 24

Thanks to the Public Domain, and entertainment studios having to rehash, remake or reboot any classic stories, due to them being too frightened to go out on a limb; you should see a new version of everyone of these fairy tales once every five or ten years or so. But don’t let that ruin your fondness for these classic stories, even if you remembered them different when you were younger. Where the stories may change, and the moral or lessons can adapt to the times, it’s the characters who become immortal. Even as the characters change though time, a thread to their past remains. A hundred years for now, kids might not believe that there was ever a version of Cinderella where she doesn’t fight off her sisters with a high powered, phase coupling, inverted photon pulse, plasma rifle – but there will still be a glass shoe.

I don’t remember the evil queen being unclothed Michael, and showing the mirror her ta ta’s.
