The theme selected for week sixty nine of Operation Graphite will be: Literal Sports Mascot.

When universities and professional sports teams pick a name, it’s meaning usually has some weight. Whether it be a fierce and intimidating animal, a historical reference, or a something special about that region’s culture. Then, there are other Mascots that are just plain weird. This week we may take any existing sports team, and illustrate a realistic depiction of that team’s mascot or namesake.

Please submit any drawing or painting, using traditional or digital media, of your Mascot.

All art work is due on Thursday 6.20.13. Submissions will be published the following Friday 6.21.13.
