The theme selected for week forty six of Operation Graphite will be: Jules Verne.
For the first Grey Op due in 2013, we will think towards the future, but forward in a way that is over a century old. Jules Verne could be thanked (or blamed) for the modern Steampunk genre. Even though later authors truly refined this sometimes amazing, sometimes bewilderingly annoying genre, Verne was one of its fathers. The characters, adventures, or subtle, victorian era, retro futurism of, Jules Vern’s stories is what we aim to capture.
Any drawing or painting, using traditional or digital media, that fits the theme, Jules Verne, is fair game.
All art work is due on Thursday 1.3.13. Submissions will be published the following Friday 1.4.13
